- Internship for Ceramic Restoration at the National History Museum of Romania (Bucharest, August 2025). I restored two Neolithic vases (one from the Hamangia culture and the other one from the Gumelnița culture). In addition, I assisted in curating and preparing an exhibition celebrating 50 years since the establishment of restoration laboratories in Romania.
- Excavation at Tell Glina (Romania, July 2025). The site has habitation layers spanning from the Neolithic (Boian culture) to the Chalcolithic (Gumelnița culture) up until the Bronze Age (Glina culture). I ambitiously excavated a “trench” feature with 2 post pits, filled with hardened clay and adobe. Furthermore, I assisted in magnetometry surveyal.
- Fieldschool at Oss (the Netherlands, April 2025). On an Iron Age burial site, I used the theoretical knowledge I learned in class to practise excavation, prospective surveyal (sediment coring with an Edelman auger), and technical drawing alongside my classmates. If you would like to read more, I also wrote a short blog post about my experience at Oss
- Volunteer at the Ancient City of Histria (Romania, July 2023). The ancient city of Histria is an important Roman citadel located near the Black Sea’s shoreline; it began as a Greek colony and flourished for almost 1000 years. Here I became acquainted for the first time with archaeological excavation and learned the basics by practising alongside students from the University of Bucharest.
